We continually look to our shared heritage, beliefs and daily rituals to define a common culture, yet our national identity is complex and difficult to characterize. As American as apple pie. An All American Family. What do we mean when we use these phrases?

All American: Defining Ourselves in a Time of Change features 13 contemporary national and regional artists working in a variety of media, whose work raises questions about traditions and history that define us as a way of exploring what it means to be an American. Free and open to the public.
