The Salt Lake Art Center's exhibition Launch-11: Recipients of the International Sculpture Center 2009 Student Awards, features the work of 11 emerging artists destined for national recognition. Juried by the International Sculpture Center, and never before seen in the Western United States, Launch-11 will provide you with a glimpse into the exciting trajectory of contemporary sculpture today--and tomorrow.
Artists Include: Luke Achterberg, Matthew Boonstra, Kandace Collins, Sharon Kirby, Robert Loring, Casey Lynch, Sanford Mirling, Justin Shull, Ryan Schwartzkopf, Caelie Winchester and Rachel Wong.
2009 jurors: Willie Cole, independent artist; Jeanne Jaffe, Professor and Chair of Fine Arts, University of the Arts in Philadelphia; and David McFadden, Curator, Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
